If you have NOT been notified by email after money or credit card was deducted. Please check your PURCHASE HISTORY for your transaction status and boarding pass. If the status written in Purchase History IS STILL “NOT COMPLETE” after 30 minutes. PLEASE ENSURE OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSONNEL NOTIFY YOU FOR the pending transaction status or boarding pass first via email or phone call before making another transaction or purchasing a new ticket

1) Definitions

  • "Guest", "passengers", "you", "your", "customers" refers to any person carried or to be carried on a boat/ferry with our consent.
  • "E-ticket", "boarding pass", and "tickets" refer to passes that allow eligible passengers to board the boat/ferry.
  • "We", "our", "us", "carrier", and "the company" refers to Perhentian Boat Services.

2) Fares and Prices

  • Adult fare applies to passengers 12 years old and above.
  • Child fare applies to passengers between the ages of 3 to 11 years old.
  • Infants, 2 years old and below, are not charged.

3) Bookings & Availability

  • Bookings may be made online through our website up to 30 minutes prior to departure.
  • Passengers must present a printed or electronic e-ticket at our counter during check-in.
  • Walk-in purchases and same-day bookings may be made at our counter but are subject to seat availability.

4) Cancellation, Amendments & Refunds Policy

  • All purchased tickets are non-refundable.
  • You may amend your open ticket (valid for 1 year) or transfer the ticket to someone else.
  • Amendments are only valid before the departure date.

5) Check-in & Boarding

  • Passengers must check in at our office, Perhentian Boat Services, located at Kuala Besut Jetty before departure.
  • Passengers can show either a printed or electronic e-ticket at the counter for check-in.
  • Passengers are advised to check in and collect their boarding passes at least 30 minutes before departure.
  • If you miss your scheduled boat/ferry, we will arrange for you to board the next available departure.
  • Passengers who purchased tickets for the same day departing from Perhentian to Kuala Besut may board directly with their e-ticket as the boarding pass.
  • Passengers who miss their intended departure will need to purchase new tickets for the next available departure (subject to seat availability).

6) Luggage Policy

  • Passengers are responsible for their own luggage.
  • The company is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

7) Safety Regulations

  • Passengers must follow all safety instructions provided by the crew.
  • Life jackets and other safety equipment must be used as directed during emergencies.

8) Behavior Onboard

  • Smoking, drinking, or disruptive behavior that disturbs other passengers is strictly prohibited.
  • Passengers causing disruptions may be removed from the vessel without a refund.

9) Cancellations and Delays of the Trip

  • The company reserves the right to cancel or delay trips due to weather conditions, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • In the event of a cancellation initiated by the company, passengers will be offered a reschedule or a refund.

10) Liability

  • The company shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss, or damage occurring during the trip unless caused by proven negligence.

11) Force Majeure

  • The company is not liable for any delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by events beyond its control, including natural disasters, strikes, or other force majeure events.

12) Other Information

  • Passengers are required to pay Marine Park Conservation Fees under the Malaysian Fisheries Department at the jetty:
    • RM30 (RM15 for children and senior citizens)
    • RM5 (RM2 for children and senior citizens) for Malaysian Identity Card holders.
